Let’s Sing It!

A few weeks ago, before the darn chicken pox hit me, I kept on searching for this song. My officemates and I would hear this slow yet upbeat melody which was sung by a guy. Everytime it is being played through the centralized music system in the office, I would stop my work, pull up Google and try my might to type even a single line from the lyrics. Unfortunately, I could not understand a word. The next I heard it played again, I PMed one of my office friends. She also doesn’t know the song and could not google the lyrics. The next time again, I asked another friend until I was already asking the whole team. It’s either we have poor comprehension with english (which I doubt!) or the player was just not that good for us to understand the song.

For the nth time, I heard the song again. Luckily this time, I got a short line: ” …so sexy to me…”

For me, it was already enough to continue my battle in finding the song. When I got home, I logged on to GT and posted my question. I received some suggestions but none of them was correct.

The following day, my chicken pox came in the scene. I had to stay at home for about two weeks to recover. Blessing in disguise, I had more than enough time to look for the mysterious song and… voila! Mr Google and I had our mutual understanding. :-D

The song happened to be the soundtrack of Julia Stile’s movie, Save The Last Dance. Here it goes:

Artist: Kevon Edmonds

Title: Move it Slow

Enjoy the music! :-D

  1. nice song! first time ko lang narinig ito :D

  2. At least something good happened in staying home with chicken pox though its a minor thing. :) The song is really nice. Its very calming. Sometimes I also google songs that I heard on the radio by typing the lyrics. :)

However, I still cannot find the singers of the duet version of The Only Exception. I know that its from Paramore and there is also a version from Glee. I also saw a duet version from Raffi and Davey but it was different from the one I heard on the radio. :S Its been months so I gave up. I’ll try to search again now as I was inspired by your post, hehe :)

  3. Haha… ganyan din ako mag-search ng title ng kanta. I remember a certain line and then I google it. I think I might download this song too. I like the melody.:) Never really paid that much attention to the movie when it was shown before.
